If you are an Atlantic City Electric residential electric supply customer through Basic Generation Service (BGS) who charges your Tesla, Toyota, or Lexus EV at home with a qualified level 2 certified charger, the EVsmart Off-Peak Charging Credit can earn you a per kWh charging credit for all net off-peak charging (weekends and 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. EST, Monday to Friday). The EVsmart Off-Peak Charging Credit Program makes electric vehicle (EV) adoption more accessible, convenient, and affordable as our customers transition to EVs. This program helps reduce the gird impacts of EV charging by incentivizing EV drivers to shift at home EV charging to off-peak hours.
By participating in this program, you’ll earn $0.02 per kWh plus any associated sales and use tax (SUT) for all net off-peak charging. Peak hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST, Monday-Friday. Off-peak hours are weekends and 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. EST, Monday to Friday.
You’ll receive these rewards twice per calendar year, totaling the net off-peak charging credit for every 6-month period.
